A major accident was averted in Hyderabad around 11 am on Thursday, when a TGSRTC bus of Dilsukhnagar depot collided with a petrol pump at Batasingaram in Abdullapurmet. According to preliminary information, the bus driver tried to avoid a car that suddenly appeared in front, due to which the bus lost control and turned towards the petrol pump. It can be seen in the CCTV footage that the bus turns towards the petrol pump in an attempt to save a car. During this time, a truck was also parked on the service road, due to which the driver was left with limited options for rescue. A car and an auto were damaged in the accident, while the diesel dispenser and other equipment of the petrol pump were also damaged. It is a matter of relief that there is no news of any casualty in the incident. Abdullahpurmet police have registered the case and started investigation.
