Shaniwar Wada Controversy: Hindu organizations protested on Sunday after a video of Muslim women offering namaz at the historic Shaniwar Wada in Pune city in Maharashtra went viral on social media. Police later registered a case against unidentified women for offering namaz at the protected site. In protest against the incident of offering Namaz, some Hindu organizations under the leadership of BJP Rajya Sabha MP Medha Kulkarni symbolically purified the place by sprinkling cow urine and offering prayers on Sunday. This purification ceremony has become a cause of controversy within the Mahayuti alliance itself.
