It’s safe to say Max Verstappen’s latest racing adventure has taken the motorsport world by storm.

The four-time F1 World Champion is set to compete in the iconic 24 Hours of Nurburgring later this month — and the hype surrounding his appearance has already pushed the event to a complete sell-out.

According to organisers, demand for tickets has exploded largely because of Verstappen’s participation, with the 150-car entry list filling up for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, all tickets have officially sold out… for the first time in the history of the event.

Weekend tickets and race-day passes are completely gone, while only a limited number of four-day and single-day tickets for Thursday, Friday and Sunday remain available.

Around 7,500 tickets are still up for grabs, but organisers expect those to disappear quickly as well.

Verstappen’s Venture

Max will drive the No. 3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO for Verstappen Racing alongside teammates Jules Gounon, Dani Juncadella and Lucas Auer around the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The Dutch superstar has spent much of this year quietly preparing for the challenge through various NLS races, steadily building experience on one of the most demanding circuits in the world.

But Verstappen’s road to pole position will be anything but straightforward.

Nurburgring’s Unforgiving Format

Unlike F1, the Nürburgring 24 Hours uses a unique knockout-style qualifying system.

Following technical issues and a previous disqualification in earlier events, the team must begin the qualifying process from scratch.

That means Winward Racing will start in Top Qualifying 1 and attempt to progress through multiple elimination rounds inspired by F1’s qualifying format.

The event itself runs from May 14-17, with the race beginning on Saturday afternoon and continuing through Sunday.

Friday’s qualifying sessions are expected to be particularly dramatic. Organisers ADAC Nordrhein have introduced an F1-style knockout format for 2026, with teams fighting through successive elimination stages to secure the best grid spots.
