US-Iran War News Updates: Iran ‘Open To Negotiations’, Trump Not Satisfied; Hormuz Deadlock Stays

Iran’s Chief Justice Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei has said that Tehran has never abandoned talks with the United States, stressing that diplomacy has remained an open option for the Islamic Republic.

“We do not welcome war, but we are not afraid of it,” Mohseni-Ejei said, according to Iran’s state-run IRIB news agency. “If our dignity is threatened, we will fight for our dignity. This is the firm position of our nation.”

He added that Iran has consistently supported negotiations, but underscored that diplomacy must be rooted in “logic and rationality.”

“We certainly do not accept imposition,” he said, noting that an adversary which has failed to achieve its objectives through pressure, threats or aggression cannot dictate terms at the negotiating table.
