1. New Tap and Pay feature in UPI: Payment will be done from mobile like ATM card; Will work even without internet, 5000 limit

2. Fastag can be ported like a mobile SIM: ‘OneTag’ service started to change bank without changing the sticker of the vehicle, know how to switch from the app

Now Fastag users will not need to remove the old sticker on the windshield of the vehicle or get a new physical tag installed to change their bank. Fastag will also be ported like mobile SIM.
This new service named OneTag was launched by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday during the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai.

3. Silver today fell by ₹ 4,722 to ₹ 2.29 lakh/kg: In 15 days, silver became cheaper by ₹ 15 thousand and gold by ₹ 8 thousand.

There is a fall in the prices of gold and silver today i.e. on 11th September. According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of one kg silver has come down by Rs 4,722 to around Rs 2.29 lakh.
The price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has fallen by Rs 1,349 to Rs 1.52 lakh. Whereas in 15 days, silver has become cheaper by ₹ 15 thousand and gold by ₹ 8 thousand. On August 28, i.e. 15 days ago, the price of gold was around Rs 1.60 lakh and the price of silver was Rs 2.44 lakh.

4. Work like check clearance, cash deposit stuck due to bank strike: Business worth Rs 5,500 crore affected in Madhya Pradesh, will remain closed on Saturday-Sunday also

Government and some private banks across the country, including SBI, PNB and Union Bank, remained closed on Friday due to the strike by bank employees. Due to this, work related to check clearance, cash deposit and withdrawal, FD renewal and government treasury remained completely stuck.
Due to the strike, banking business worth Rs 5,500 crore was affected in Madhya Pradesh in just one day. The United Forum of Bank Unions had announced a one-day strike on Friday to demand 5-day working which has been pending for 2 years.

5. IMF said- India is the growth engine of the world: GDP growth was better than expected at 7.8%, Indian economy remained strong despite the energy crisis.

International Monetary Fund has praised the Indian economy. Besides, India has also been described as the growth engine of the world. India’s economy has maintained its fast pace even amidst the energy crisis and global challenges.
In the first quarter of the current financial year i.e. April-June, the country’s real GDP growth has been recorded at 7.8%. Praising India’s better performance, IMF said that this growth has been much better than expected on the basis of strong services sector and better exports.
