In Kanpur, the police has arrested the youth who molest and assaulted a student of class 11. The case is of Kidwai Nagar police station area, where accused Yash Kumar stopped the student on the way to coaching. On protesting, he beat up the student, slapped three and even spit on her face.

The accused tried to force the student to sit in his car, but he fled threatening when the student’s protest and coaching comrades arrived. The victim’s mother complained to the police station first, but after not taking action, she reached Joint Police Commissioner Ashutosh Kumar with her daughter.
On his instructions, the police took quick action and arrested the accused. Seeing the strictness of the police, the accused Yash Kumar put a plank around the neck and reached the police station, in which it was written, ‘Forgive me, from today every girl will consider her mother and sister.’

The victim’s mother said that the accused was chasing her daughter for several days. On the evening of September 8, she was going to coaching, when the accused reached there with her 8-10 friends and stopped the student’s way and grabbed her hand.
When he protested, he slapped the student and spit on his mouth. When the student’s colleagues protested, the accused and his friends also beat him. During this time, the glasses of a student also broke.
DCP DN Chaudhary said that a case has been registered in the sections of molestation, assault and intimidation on the complaint of the woman. The accused has been arrested and the statement of the student under 164 CRPC will also be recorded. The police is now searching for other associates of the accused.
