A non-bailable warrant (NBW) has been issued against Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) MLA Bedi Ram and Nishad Party MLA Vipul Dubey in the paper leak case in the Railway Group D recruitment exam. A case is going on against 19 accused including MLA Bedi Ram and Vipul Dubey in this case.
The court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Subhaspa MLA Bedi Ram from Jakhania seat of Ghazipur and Nishad Party MLA Vipul Dubey from Gyanpur seat of Bhadohi. Special Judge Pushkar Upadhyay has issued this NBW after a dozen accused including the two MLAs did not appear in the court. The court has directed the Krishna Nagar Inspector to serve the arrest warrant by July 26.
STF had arrested Bedi Ram and Vipul Dubey in February 2006 in the paper leak case. Gangster Act was imposed against both of them in this case. STF had claimed to have recovered the question paper of Railway Recruitment Group D exam from the accused. After investigation, the police had also filed a charge sheet. The court has also rejected the application for exemption from attendance of Bedi Ram and Vipul Dubey.
8 out of 9 cases are related to paper leak
In February 2022, while contesting the assembly elections, it was revealed from the affidavit given by Bedi Ram that 8 cases related to railway and police recruitment paper leak have been registered against the MLA in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh. Out of the total 9 cases registered against Bedi Ram, eight are related to paper leak. In 2009, SOG in Jaipur had registered an FIR against Bedi Ram in the railway recruitment paper leak case. STF Bhopal had also registered a case in the matter of leaking the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission paper.
In 2006, Gangster Act was imposed in the railway paper leak case
Similarly, in 2006, Gangster Act was imposed on Bedi Ram in Krishna Nagar, Lucknow for leaking the railway paper. After this, in 2008, a case was registered in Gomti Nagar for leaking the railway paper. Then in 2014, an FIR was registered against Bedi Ram in Ashiana for leaking the paper. Not only this, on 21 August 2014, UP STF has confiscated 8 properties of Bedi Ram in Lucknow and Jaunpur under Gangster Act.
Chargesheet has been filed in 8 cases of paper leak
In 2010, an FIR was lodged against Bedi Ram in Madiahu of Jaunpur for leaking the police recruitment paper. Currently, the police have filed chargesheets in all the eight cases related to the paper leak. Charges have been framed in the court. Bedi Ram is an MLA from Jakhania assembly seat of Ghazipur. He is originally from Azamgarh. Bedi Ram is considered close to Subhaspa president and UP minister Om Prakash Rajbhar.
