The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET December 2025 answer key on the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates will need to use their login credentials to access it. Candidates can file objections against the UGC NET provisional answer key 2025, if any, by January 17, 2026. Based on these objections, the final answer key and results for the UGC NET December session will be prepared and announced. The answer key can be checked on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

“The candidates who are not satisfied with the provisional answer key(s), may challenge the same by paying a non-refundable processing fee of 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) per question challenged,” states the official notice.

The processing fee can be paid using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI payment methods. Challenges submitted without the processing fee will not be considered, nor will they be accepted via any other payment method, as per the NTA.

A panel of subject experts will review the challenges submitted by candidates. If a challenge is found to be valid, the answer key will be revised accordingly for all candidates. The final results will be based on the revised Answer Key. Candidates will not be individually notified about the acceptance or rejection of their challenges. The Answer Key, once finalized by the experts, will be deemed final.

Step 1: Visit the website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Challenge regarding Answer Key’ link.

Step 3: Log in with your application number and password, enter the captcha shown, and submit.

Step 4: Click on “View Question Paper” to view and check the marked/recorded answers.

Step 5: Click on the “Click to View/Challenge Answer Key” link to challenge the answer key.

Step 6: Match the question IDs with those listed in the answer key.

Step 7: The question IDs will be displayed in order on the official website.

The UGC December 2025 exam concluded on January 7, 2026. It was held from December 31 to January 7, with 735,592 candidates participating. According to data from the NTA, student attendance remained stable at 71% to 75% throughout the exam period.
