Goals from Luis Diaz in the 89th minute and Michael Olise in stoppage time ensured Bayern’s progression to the semi-finals, where they will face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain. Real Madrid made a blistering start, capitalising on a costly error from Manuel Neuer just 35 seconds into the match.
The Bayern Munich goalkeeper’s misplaced pass fell straight to Arda Guler, who calmly slotted into an empty net. Bayern responded quickly, with Aleksandar Pavlovic heading home an equaliser, but Guler struck again in the 29th minute with a superb free-kick to restore Real’s lead.
Harry Kane brought Bayern level once more before Kylian Mbappe ensured the visitors went into the break ahead, rounding off a chaotic first half.
Red Cards Flow
The tempo eased slightly after the interval, though chances continued to come. Neuer redeemed himself with key saves, while Bayern pushed for a decisive breakthrough. The turning point arrived late in the game when Eduardo Camavinga was sent off after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession, leaving Real a man down at a critical stage.
Bayern capitalised on the advantage, with Diaz scoring via a deflected effort before Olise sealed the win with a composed finish. Real’s frustration boiled over, and Guler was also sent off after the final whistle.

“It was all over after the red card,” Real coach Alvaro Arbeloa said. “You can’t send a player off for something like that on such a big stage. It’s a shame to spoil such a beautiful game.”
