Electric two-wheeler maker Ola has reached number three in terms of electric sales. The company’s market share in May is 20%.
There has been a 60% decline in sales of vehicles as compared to May last year. In May of 2025, only 15,221 vehicle registers were registered, compared to 37,388 in May last year.
The old player TVS motor is at number one with 25% market share. Bajaj Auto ranks second with 22.6% stake. The market share of Ather Energy declined from 14.9% of April to 13.1% in May.
Ola Electric’s stock dropped 38% this year
On Wednesday, Ola electric share is trading 1.20% to Rs ₹ 53. Ola shares have climbed more than 7% in a month. At the same time, the stock has broken more than 41% in the last one year. Ola’s market capital is 22.20 thousand crores.

Ola was in controversy over sales and trade certificates
Ola Electric was in controversy this year due to disturbances in sales number and lack of necessary trade certificates. Due to lack of trade certificate, raids were conducted on several showrooms. In February 2025, the company claimed that it sold 25,000 electric vehicles and got 28% market share in electric two-wheelers.
But according to the data recorded on the official website Vahan, only 8,600 vehicles of Ola were registered in February.
On 22 April, 121 stores were directed to take action in Maharashtra
Three days ago, the Transport Department in Maharashtra has directed to close 121 stores of Ola. The Transport Department had examined 146 stores of Ola, out of which more than 121 stores were running without a trade certificate.
In fact, last month, RTO raided several stores of Ola in Maharashtra. Due to lack of trade certificate on the stores, 192 vehicles were seized and show cause notices were given.
Red was 4 times on Ola’s store
RTO action was taken across the country at Ola’s stores. So far, 32 stores in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh have been red. Apart from this, action has also been taken on some stores in Rajasthan. More than 50 electric vehicles have been seized in this.
- 8 March- Several stores of Ola were raided across the country. Due to lack of trade certificate, several stores were sealed, electric vehicles were seized.
- March 12- RTO killed 2 stores in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Transport officials seized 14 electric vehicles during this period.
- March 18- Raided 4 stores in Indore. Due to lack of trade certificate, a show cause notice was given.
- 17 to 19 March- It was raided at 26 stores in Mumbai and Pune, Maharashtra. In this, 36 vehicles were seized and notices were given.
