Mumbai Police on Monday caught a major breakthrough in the investigation into the firing at actor Tiger Shroff after three suspects were intercepted at Kota railway station while allegedly trying to flee the country.

The three accused were caught from the general coach of the Pune-Jaipur Express after Mumbai Police alerted their Rajasthan counterparts about their movements. Kota SP Tejaswani Gautam said the police acted within minutes of receiving the information and searched the train, leading to their arrest.

The suspects have been identified as Rehan alias Sukka from Sonipat, Haryana; Hritik Kurmi alias Roshan from Begusarai, Bihar, who had been living in Mumbai; and a minor from Haryana. They will be handed over to Mumbai Police after the necessary legal formalities.

According to the latest information, the accused first fled from the Juhu area on a motorcycle and reached Andheri railway station. They then took a local train to Borivali.

From Borivali, the three reportedly travelled by cab to Surat. Once in Surat, they initially planned to continue their journey by state transport bus. However, they could not figure out the route, according to Mumbai Police.
