YouTuber Anurag Dobhal, popularly known as UK07 Rider and a former participant on Bigg Boss 17has alleged that he was mentally harassed by his family due to his inter-caste marriage. In a recent video, which he described as his last, Dobhal discussed the psychological toll he claimed to have suffered. He said that the family conflict stemmed from their rejection of his marriage to his long-time girlfriend, Ritika, and expressed his intention to expose those responsible for his mistreatment.
Anurag Dobhal blames his family for torturing him
Dobhal described facing significant challenges throughout his life, including being diagnosed with a brain tumour at 14 and managing academic pressures. He explained that his relationship with Ritika began through social media and eventually led to a marriage not accepted by his family. He claimed he faced mental harassment and torture.
Six days before the wedding, Dobhal alleged his parents withdrew support, leaving him to manage preparations alone. He said, “You will be twinned by my hand, you will be taught in pairs. I apologized in front of all my relatives. Papa and Mumma tortured me to such a level that they said neither will we be happy nor will you be happy.I was made to fold my hands and beg, made to touch their feet. I was forced to apologise in front of all the relatives. Papa and mummy tortured me to the extent that they said, ‘We will neither stay happy ourselves nor let you stay happy).'” Dobhal further claimed that his parents refused to accept the union and did not allow him and Ritika to enter the house.
Dobhal revealed that as a result of these circumstances, he attempted suicide. He detailed the emotional distress he felt leading up to and following his marriage, explaining that the lack of acceptance from his family led to a profound sense of isolation.
He also claimed that even his wife, Ritika, had left his side. “My mother, father, Kalam (brother) and Shreya are responsible for my death. I have nothing left to do anything. I am under a lot of depression. My society doesn’t know how to eliminate this feeling. After this video maybe I will disappear. I just want to sleep. Haven’t eaten anything for 5 days, mind is completely exhausted (I don’t understand how to eliminate this feeling. After this video, maybe I will disappear. I just want to sleep. I haven’t eaten anything for five days; my mind feels completely exhausted),” he said.
Anurag Dobhal claims this is his ‘last vlog’
Dobhal said he is quitting YouTube and that this is his last vlog.
In a written message, Dobhal addressed his family and wife directly, saying, “After I am gone, Shreya, Mum and Dad may say many things or even lie, but I was not wrong. Ritika, many people influenced you and lied to you, but I always loved you and did everything for you. However, you trusted others, believed what they said, made wrong decisions and left me. I loved my child, and that was my only hope. I wish you had believed me. I wish you had not trusted other people. I wish you had stood by me. You were manipulated by many people who were not truly loyal to anyone. After I am gone, at least take a stand for me and my child and speak the truth. I never wanted to prove you wrong, but after I’m gone, please stand up and fight for our respect.”
Dobhal and Ritika married in May 2025, and in September, the couple announced their pregnancy.
Earlier, his nearly month-long absence from social media in February 2026 had sparked concern among fans about his condition. In an Instagram post, the social media influencer spoke about the alleged mental harassment, saying he had endured significant personal and financial distress over the past year. He claimed the alleged harassment had affected several aspects of his life, including his relationships and overall well-being.
