Banks asked customers to keep sufficient balance

Private banks, including HDFC and ICICI Bank, said that the check will be done on the same day from October 4. Both banks have asked the customers to keep sufficient balance in the account, so that there is no check bounce. Also, fill all the details of the check correctly, otherwise there may be delay or rejections.

More than ₹ 50,000 details will have to be given 24 hours in advance

Banks have asked customers to use positive pay systems to increase security. Under this, some necessary details will have to be given to the bank before depositing checks of more than Rs 50,000.

In this, you will have to tell your account number, check number, date, amount and the name of whom you are giving checks to the bank at least 24 working hours in advance.

The bank will check these details on receiving the check. If everything matches, the check will be cleared, otherwise it will be rejected. In such a situation, you have to give details again.
