Tesla India Motor and Energy Private Limited has taken a plot on lease for 9 years at Orchid Business Park on Sohna Road, Gurugram.
Haryana CM Nayab Saini on Thursday offered state support to American multinational automotive and clean energy company Tesla to set up a manufacturing unit in the state.

A delegation from Tesla India Motors and Energy Pvt Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of Tesla Inc, met Saini and invited him to inaugurate the Tesla Experience Center being set up in Gurugram. The delegation was led by Isabel Fan, the company’s South-East Asia Director.
Tesla is Elon Musk’s company
After launching in Mumbai in July and Delhi in August, Elon Musk’s Tesla India Motor & Energy Pvt Ltd has leased approximately 51,000 sq ft of super built-up area at Orchid Business Park on Sohna Road in Gurugram for nine years at a starting monthly rent of Rs 40.17 lakh.
Gurugram is a big hub of automobiles.
Gurugram is a major automobile hub, largely due to the large manufacturing and corporate presence of companies like Maruti Suzuki. Many manufacturing plants, component suppliers, and corporate headquarters of major automotive companies are located in this area.
