Team India Squad for Sri lanka Series: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian team for the Sri Lanka tour to be held this month. On this tour, the Indian team has to play a 3-match ODI and a 3-match T20 series. The Indian selectors have surprised the fans with their decisions. They have handed over the captaincy of the T20 team to Suryakumar Yadav.
Let us tell you that Rohit Sharma has already retired from T20 International. However, he is still the captain in ODIs. The selectors have excluded Abhishek Sharma, Rituraj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar from the T20 team selected for the Sri Lanka tour.
Abhishek was dropped despite scoring a century
Among these, the names of Abhishek and Rituraj have surprised the most. Abhishek recently made his debut on the Zimbabwe tour and scored a century in the second match itself. Parag got bumper benefit despite poor performance

KL Rahul and Shreyas also return to ODI
Shubman Gill has been given the vice-captaincy in both ODI and T20 series. That means Hardik Pandya has also been removed from the vice-captaincy.
