Tata Safari Petrol Price, Features: Tata Motors has launched the petrol version of Safari, further strengthening its strong presence in the Indian SUV market. This flagship three-row SUV, which till now came only with diesel engine, has now become even more affordable. The company has launched the new Safari Petrol at a much lower price than diesel. Now this SUV will also be able to reach those customers who did not buy it because of the diesel engine.
Price and Positioning
With a powerful engine, premium features and 5-star safety rating, the new Safari Petrol is all set to create a stir in the segment. Tata Safari Petrol prices start from Rs 13.29 lakh and go up to Rs 25.19 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top model. Its official booking has started and now this SUV is available for sale.
Tata’s new 1.5 liter turbo GDI engine has been given in Safari Petrol. This engine generates power of 168 bhp and peak torque of 280 Nm. This engine is available with the option of 6 speed manual gearbox and 6 speed torque converter automatic transmission, which promises a smooth and powerful drive.

According to Tata Motors, during recent testing at the NATRAX race track in Indore, the Safari ran at a top speed of 216 kmph. Apart from this, this SUV also achieved excellent figures in terms of fuel efficiency. Safari recorded a mileage of 25 kmpl. Whereas Harrier gave a certified mileage of 25.9 kmpl. Harrier’s name has also been registered in the India Book of Records.
Variants and seating options
Tata Safari Petrol has been introduced in many variants like Smart, Pure X, Adventure X Plus, Accomplished X, Accomplished X Plus, Accomplished Ultra and Red Dark. Both 6 seater and 7 seater configurations are available in some selected variants. Manual and automatic gearbox options are available across the range.
5-star safety rating
Recently, Tata Safari Petrol has also been given 5-star rating by Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP). Which will be applicable to all variants of this SUV. This means that Safari is much better in terms of safety also.

The new Safari Petrol has a large 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Dolby Atmos audio. Apart from this, advanced features like front camera washer, inbuilt dashcam with digital and electronic IRVM, auto reverse dip with memory ORVM, powered and ventilated front seats and level-2 ADAS are included.
There is competition with them
Mahindra has also launched its new XUV 7XO at around this price. The price of the manual variant of Mahindra XUV 7XO starts at Rs 13.66 lakh ex-showroom, while the price of the automatic variant goes up to Rs 21.97 lakh ex-showroom. With this, the competition in the mid-size and three-row SUV segment has become more exciting.
