Karisma Kapoor’s children claim stepmother Priya Sachdev forged Sunjay Kapur’s will.
Amid the ongoing inheritance dispute involving Sunjay Kapur, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday directed his wife Priya Sachdev Kapur to file list of her late husband’s assets. As per the order, Sachdev will file a list of all movable and immovable assets of Sanjay Kapur known to her.
Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court has registered a suit filed by Karisma Kapoor’s children alleging that their stepmother — model Priya Sachdev Kapur, who was the third wife of Sunjay Kapur — appears to have forged their father’s will for control over his assets, part of a Rs 30,000-crore fortune.
The court will hear the matter for the next time on October 9 and have given a time period of two weeks to file a response.
Karisma-Sunjay’s Kids Move Delhi HC
Days after the death of actor Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, industrialist Sunjay Kapur, Daughter Samaira, 20, and son Kiaan, 15, moved the Delhi high court alleging that the third wife of Sunjay Kapur, Priya Sachdev Kapur, appears to have forged their father’s will.
Represented by their mother, Karisma Kapoor, as their legal guardian, they have attached a list of known properties but accused Priya of concealing details. They want at least a fifth of the estate as legal heirs.
Karisma’s children have claimed that they have been informed that they are not the beneficiaries under their late father’s will.
Meanwhile, Sachdev informed the court that Karisma’s children have been already given 1900 crores by the trust.
Besides them, Sunjay’s mother, Rani Kapur, has also made similar claims and has sought a share in the company’s automobile component maker Sona Comstar, an empire built largely by Sunjay’s late father.
