Yadav did not become successful overnight. Behind his achievement lies the tough experience of failing in 17 different competitive exams. His father, Naval Singh Yadav, works as a driver for the Chanderi Municipality, and his mother, an Anganwadi assistant, also supports the family by doing sewing work at home. Despite financial difficulties, his parents never allowed Vivek’s dreams to stop. Yadav secured the 487th rank in UPSC 2025. Know his success story.

Yadav’s journey is a long story of struggle. Before clearing the UPSC exam, he failed in many other exams. Many people change their path after two or three setbacks, but Vivek came back stronger after every failure. He identified his weaknesses and worked hard to improve them. This persistence led him to clear the UPSC exam twice. Yadav wrote on his Instagram account that this time he has become an IPS officer.

Vivek Yadav shared a page from his diary on social media, listing all the exams he failed:

After being selected for the post of Assistant Commissioner in Railways, Yadav was undergoing training in Lucknow. But his true dream was to serve the country in a khaki uniform. Even with a busy training schedule, he continued his studies and appeared for the UPSC 2025 exam. This time, his hard work bore fruit, and with an All India Rank of 487, he fulfilled his dream of becoming an IPS officer. This was his fifth attempt, and he created history.

Yadav completed his early education at Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Chanderi. After finishing school, he moved to Delhi and completed his graduation in History Honours from Delhi University’s Hindu College. He then earned a postgraduate degree in History from IGNOU.
