The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has released a list of emergency helplines and contact details for Indian citizens in the Middle East amid escalating conflict in the region. The numbers cover the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Syria, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Palestine.

The resources include phone numbers, WhatsApp contacts, and email addresses of Indian embassies and consulates across the region. Indian nationals are urged to reach out to the relevant helpline or embassy.

The government have emphasised that the safety and well-being of the nearly one crore citizens living and working in the Gulf region is the highest priority.

Statement by official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Indian embassies and consulates remain in close touch with nationals and community organisations, providing assistance and regular advisories as the situation evolves.

“We had expressed our deep concern at the commencement of the conflict in Iran and the Gulf region on 28 February 2026. Even at that time, India had urged all sides to exercise restraint, avoid escalation and prioritize the safety of civilians,” the spokesperson said.
