Stocks to Watch On March 19, 2026: Stocks Indian benchmark indices — the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 — are likely to open sharply lower on Thursday, tracking weakness in global markets amid rising crude oil prices and geopolitical tensions.
Trends in GIFT Nifty also indicate a gap-down opening, with the index hovering around the 23,240 mark — nearly 536 points below the previous close of Nifty futures.
HDFC Bank
The lender said its part-time Chairman and Independent Director, Atanu Chakraborty, has resigned with immediate effect, citing reasons outlined in his resignation letter.
Manappuram Finance
The company said its subsidiaries — Asirvad Micro Finance and Manappuram Home Finance — have received RBI approval for an indirect change in control and management by Bain Capital.

The company has received environmental clearance for a greenfield brewery project in Uttar Pradesh, with an annual capacity of 1.3 million hectolitres.

The board will meet on March 24 to consider a demerger of its agrochemicals business into wholly owned subsidiary Natco Crop Health Sciences Ltd.
