The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has taken its star missile project to the third phase (Phase-III). In this phase, flight tests are being done several times by preparing the missile completely. The Star Missile is a special indigenous missile that mimics fast -paced hazards for the Air Force, Army and Navy. Meaning you can practice target. This missile can be cheap as well as an alternative to missiles like BrahMos.
In the third phase, DRDO’s engineer creates a complete missile by adding all parts of the missile, such as engines, navigation systems and control systems together. It is then flown several times under war -like circumstances. These tests show how accurate, reliable and effective the missile is.

The DRDO is creating a version of the star that can be released from a fighter aircraft like Tejas. This will help in attacking air from air or from air to ground. Star missile has a liquid fuel Ramjet engine. This engine takes oxygen from the air, causing the missile to carry less fuel. This keeps the missile light. Can fly at a fast pace for a long time.
