SSC CGL Tier II Exam Schedule Out, To Be Conducted On January 18 And 19

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) tier II exam schedule. According to the official notice, the exam will be conducted on January 18 and 19. Candidates who cleared the tier I exam, results of which were announced on December 18, can check the tier II exam datesheet on the official website at ssc.gov.in.

The exam for English Language and Comprehension and General Awareness (paper 1, section 1), English Language & Comprehension and General Awareness (paper 1, section 2), Computer Knowledge (paper 2, section 3), and Statistics (paper 2) will be held on January 18, 2026. On January 19, 2026, Skill Test (DEST) will be conducted which is paper 1, section 4.

A total of 1,39,395 candidates have passed the SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 examination and have been shortlisted for the tier II exam, the Commission stated. The results of 49 candidates have been withheld due to various reasons (including pending Litigations/Court cases). While results of five candidates have not been processed due to their debarment from SSC Examination(s), cancellation or rejection of candidature.

This year, SSC has announced 14,582 vacancies for various Group B and Group C posts under CGL 2025.

SSC CGL Tier II Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL Tier-2 examination consists of three papers tailored to specific job roles. Paper 1 is mandatory for all candidates, while Paper 2 is for Junior Statistical Officer candidates, and Paper 3 is for those selected for Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer positions. Paper 1 is divided into three sections: Section 1 covers Mathematical Abilities with 60 questions (30 per module) worth 180 marks; Section 2 includes English and Comprehension and General Awareness with a total of 70 questions (45 in Module I and 25 in Module II) worth 210 marks; Section 3 assesses Computer Knowledge and Data Entry Speed, with Module I worth 20 marks and Module II being a data entry task without questions. Paper 2 focuses on Statistics with 100 questions worth 200 marks, and Paper 3 covers General Studies (Finance and Economics) with 100 questions also worth 200 marks.
