The issue escalated so much that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had to issue a clarification. They explained that there was no discrepancy in the result, but a minor error in the cut-off table caused the candidate numbers to appear incorrectly.

Following the announcement of the SSC CGL Tier 1 result, some candidates asserted that they scored significantly higher than the cut-off but were not listed for Tier 2. What Clarification Did SSC Provide?

SSC released an official notice, stating that the results processing was error-free. What Happened To The 29 Candidates?

SSC clarified that 29 candidates were not considered when determining the Tier 1 cut-off due to pending cases for various reasons. Consequently, they were excluded from the cut-off evaluation. Additionally, the Commission mentioned that candidates who took the examination on October 14 have been reallocated to their original batch and their marks normalized, ensuring fairness.
