No solution even after repeated complaints Short circuit is being feared behind the fire in the ICU of the Trauma Center of SMS Hospital. This accident of short circuit did not happen suddenly. Its apprehension was already expressed. It has been revealed in the investigation that complaints of water dripping and conversion were repeatedly made in the ICU of the Trauma Center.
Recently, on 3 October, the Central AC (VRV system), duct machine and electricity supply panels were feared to be damaged due to the construction work of neuro surgery operation theater on the roof of the trauma center. Despite this, its complaints were not noticed.

The state government has officially accepted only 6 deaths.
Wrote several letters, not action even once Investigation revealed that letters were written several times to the Superintendent of SMS Hospital. He was neither answered nor taken any action.
On October 3, Dr. Anurag Dhakad, the then Nodal Officer of the Trauma Center, wrote a letter to the Superintendent of SMS Hospital, fearing the damaged VRV, duct and electrical panels due to the under construction neuro OT.
On 1 October, the Nursing Superintendent from the Trauma Center wrote to the Nodal Officer Dr. Anurag Dhakad and requested to solve the VRV, duct and electrical panels in view of the possibility of damage.

I wish someone responsible would have taken seriously On 9 September, Dr. Anurag Dhakad, the then Nodal Officer of the Trauma Center, wrote a letter to the SMS Superintendent and feared untoward. It was said in the letter that on September 3 and September 5, a letter was also written that surgery was affected due to water leakage in OT.
Dhakad said in the letter that due to the water leakage, the current is spreading in OT walls and electricity boards. Due to this, there is a possibility of an untoward incident with doctors, employees and patients of OT.
On September 8, Dr. Anurag Dhakad wrote a letter to the Medical Officer Divisional Electricity and Engineering Branch SMS Hospital complaining about the surgery being affected by the current coming to the OT of the Trauma Center. It was also written in it that despite informing on 3 September, the problem was not resolved.
If any responsible had taken these letters seriously, then there would not have been 8 lives.

Earlier on July 30, Dr. Anurag Dhakad was made aware of the broken fall silling in ICU I, Room-203. It was clearly written that the fall silling of the ICU is broken. Even after repeatedly informed, no action has been taken till date. Also, an unpleasant incident was mentioned with the patients.

Action delayed even after the incident Negligence was seen even after the accident at the trauma center. The store room located in the second floor ICU was on fire around 11.30 pm on October 5. When the patients saw the smoke rising from the closed store room, they also informed the staff present on the spot. Nobody paid attention immediately. Staff alerted after a delay of about 20 minutes. By then the fire had increased more. During this time, smoke had spread in the ICU even before opening the store room. When tried to open the store room, the smoke increased and became difficult in the rescue. At the same time, there was a delay in extinguishing the fire.
Fire spread rapidly It is being told that a short circuit caught fire in the store room. It is being told that the stores were lying in the store like sprit, betadine, syringe, canula, catheter, urine bags, aprin, cotton, dressing medicines, stationery, badsheets, pillow cover, curtains. Due to this, the fire spread rapidly.

Oxygen along with other gases feared to increase fire It was the ICU ward of neuro surgery. It is completely packed. Oxygen is also provided in the ICU ward for patients. In such a situation, it is also feared that the fire has been contacted by oxygen and the fire has increased further.
Death is believed to be the reason for suffering from suffocation Smoke started coming to the ICU after a fire in the store room. After this, the entire ICU smoke was engulfed as soon as he opened the store room to control the fire. And the reason for the death of patients admitted in the ward is believed that patients have died due to suffocation. Because all the patients were admitted in this ward in critical conditions. However, the exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report comes.

The personnel of the semi ICU said on the condition of anonymity that the water keeps dripping in the ward. Many times complaints are made about this. After a lot of improvement, the situation again becomes the same. Fall sealing was not seen at one place in the semi ICU. Nursing personnel said that patients are kept in such circumstances. In such a situation, the chances of short circuit also increase due to dripping water.

Both the Nodal Officer of the Trauma, Dr. Anurag Dhakad and SMS Hospital Superintendent Dr. Sushil Bhati have been removed from the post.
