Chelsea slump to a 33-year low with six straight league defeats, their worst run since 1993, as fan frustration boils over at Stamford Bridge.

This might not have been the kind of record Chelsea’s ownership had in mind when they took over.
A 3-1 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest on Monday confirmed a grim milestone for Chelsea — six straight league defeats for the first time since 1993.
That’s a 33-year low for a club that, not too long ago, was lifting European trophies.
And in all honesty, it could have gotten so much worse. Until Jooo Pedro’s stoppage-time overhead kick, Chelsea were staring at six consecutive league losses without scoring a single goal — something that hasn’t happened in their 121-year history.
The most crushing detail amid all this? Chelsea no longer has control over their hopes of making it to the UEFA Champions League next season, as they are virtually out of securing a top-five finish.
🚨The only way Chelsea can qualify for the Champions League is if:1. Aston Villa win Europa League2. Aston Villa finish 5th in the Premier League3. Chelsea win at least 2 more matches & finish 6th in the Prem.

Chelsea Gutted
Under interim boss Calum McFarlane, Chelsea looked second-best throughout. Even more worrying is that their form since mid-March has been worse than relegated sides like Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Forest, meanwhile, got the job done with efficiency. Taiwo Awoniyi struck twice, sparking loud protests at Stamford Bridge — not against the opposition but rather Chelsea’s ownership. (or Todd Boehly, to be precise)
Todd Boehly’s Reign At Chelsea
Since the US-led BlueCo. took over four years ago, and more than £1 billion has been spent on transfers.
There were signs of progress shown — with the Blues snatching silverware in the Club World Cup and the Conference League last year. But all of that optimism has vanished.
With just three league games remaining and no threat of relegation, the season is limping to a close for the Blues. An FA Cup final against Manchester City still offers a shot at redemption.
