Today, on the second trading day of the week, i.e. Tuesday, October 7, the Sensex has risen by 400 points and is trading above 82,200. There is a rise of 100 points in Nifty, it is at the level of 25,200.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 23 are rising and 7 are declining. Shares of Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro and Bajaj Finance have risen. Trent has fallen more than 2%.

Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 39 are rising and 11 are declining. There is an increase in metal, pharma, banking and realty sectors of NSE. There is a decline in stocks related to media, private banking and financial services.

Mixed business in global market

  • In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is trading 0.67% higher at 48,265. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index is closed today.
  • Korea’s Kospi is closed due to national holiday. At the same time, due to the Mid-Autumn Festival in China, there will be no trading in Shanghai Composite till October 8.
  • On October 6, America’s Dow Jones closed at 46,694, up 0.14%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.71% and the S&P 500 was up 0.36%.

On October 6, DII bought shares worth Rs 5,036 crore.

  • On October 6, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 313.77 crore in the cash segment. Domestic investors (DIIs) made net purchases of Rs 5,036.39 crore.
  • Foreign investors have sold shares worth ₹35,301.36 crore in the month of September. Whereas domestic investors have made net purchases of ₹ 65,343.59 crore during this period.
  • Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹46,902.92 crore in the month of August. Whereas domestic investors made net purchases of Rs 94,828.55 crore during this period.

LG Electronics’ IPO opens from today

The IPO of LG Electronics India Limited, the Indian unit of South Korean company LG, is opening today i.e. from 7th October.
