On Monday (January 13), the first trading day of the week, a fall of about 700 is being seen in the Sensex. It is trading at the level of 76,700. Nifty is also down by about 200 points, it is trading at 23,250.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, only one is rising while the remaining 29 are declining. At the same time, out of 50 stocks of Nifty, two are rising and 48 are declining. In the NSE Sectoral Index, the realty sector is trading with the biggest decline of 2.13%. Similarly, there is a decline of 1.15% in Auto, 1.31% in Metal, 1.18% in Oil and Gas and 1.39% in Consumer Durables.
There was a decline in the global market
- On the last trading day i.e. Friday (January 10), Japan’s Nikkei fell by 1.05% in the Asian market. At the same time, Korea’s Kospi is trading with a decline of 1.21% today. China’s Shanghai Composite Index is also seeing a decline of 0.45% today.
- According to NSE data, on January 10, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 2,254.68 crore. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 3,961.92 crore.
- On January 10, America’s Dow Jones fell 1.63% and closed at 41,938. The S&P 500 index fell 1.54% to 5,827 while the Nasdaq index fell 1.63% to 19,161.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 22 declined and 8 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 36 declined and 14 rose. While one stock closed without any change. IT sector accounted for 3.44% in NSE sectoral index. Apart from this, all the sectors closed with decline. Media sector fell the most by 3.59%. At the same time, after a week of trading, the stock market has fallen by 1845 points.
