The Telangana government has announced Dussehra holidays for schools and junior colleges. This year, students will get a festive break ahead of their upcoming exams. The holiday schedule varies for schools and junior colleges.

For schools, the holidays will begin on September 21 and continue till October 3. That’s a total of 13 days off for school students. Classes are scheduled to resume on October 4, but many may return on October 6.

Junior colleges will have a slightly shorter break. Their Dussehra holidays are from September 28 to October 5, an 8-day vacation. All junior colleges will reopen on October 6.

Before the holidays, schools must wrap up the Formative Assessment (FA-2) exams. After reopening, students will gear up for the Summative Assessment (SA-1) from October 24 to 31. Results for these exams will be announced by November 6.

Junior college students will face their half-yearly exams from November 10 to 15. The holiday calendar offers a festive break before the exam season picks up. Parents and students have been advised to plan vacations keeping exam dates in mind.
