Sami Zayn’s Title Match With Cody Rhodes Lands Exclusively On Club WWE After RAW

Sami Zayn’s Title Match With Cody Rhodes Lands Exclusively On Club WWE After RAW

Club WWE has made Sami Zayn’s Undisputed WWE Championship defense against Cody Rhodes available exclusively on its platform, so subscribers get access to a match that happened after RAW went off the air. Cody won the bout by disqualification after Zayn struck him with the championship belt, and because of this the champion retained his title. The release also brings up the chance of WWE using more dark matches as exclusive content for the platform. Zayn’s title defense mattered beyond the post-show contest, as the Undisputed WWE Champion is set to face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh.

Club WWE Gives Subscribers Access to Sami Zayn’s Title Defense

The match between Zayn and Rhodes was not part of the televised RAW broadcast. Instead, WWE put the full contest on Club WWE, which gives viewers a chance to watch something they couldn’t see through any other official release. Not a small thing, a title match kept away from the TV audience.

The platform already gives subscribers perks like exclusive merchandise, ticket presales and live event benefits. Bonus footage can become one more reason for fans to sign up, especially if WWE keeps uploading matches that happen after the television shows end.

Last month, Liv Morgan faced Stephanie Vaquer at a live event in Chile, where Vaquer won the Women’s World Championship. That match also came out exclusively through Club WWE.

Zayn and Rhodes’ bout finished with the champion using his title belt on his opponent, and that caused a disqualification. So naturally, Zayn lost the match but is still the Undisputed WWE Champion.

Sami Zayn’s Championship Status Keeps Crown Jewel Match Intact

The post-RAW match had extra importance because the Undisputed WWE Champion is scheduled to face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel 2026.

For a short moment, the result could have put Rhodes in line to face Reigns instead. There was also some talk about Crown Jewel being moved to the United States because of the controversy around Saudi Arabia.

But the event is still scheduled for Riyadh, and Zayn is still champion after the disqualification finish.

WWE may use more post-show matches as subscriber-only content, although it’s only a possibility and not a confirmed regular plan. Another dark match is scheduled after the upcoming SmackDown broadcast, with The Vision set to face Solo Sikoa and LA Knight for the World Tag Team Championship.

That contest could also find its way to Club WWE, but no release has been confirmed.
