It has been more than 48 hours and no arrests have been made so far by the Mumbai Police. Earlier, reports had emerged of one person getting detained, however, police officials later that no detainment was made in relation to the case.
Meanwhile, the actor remains admitted to Lilavati Hospital where he has been shifted from the ICU to a normal room. The doctors have said that Saif is recovering well and is on a normal diet. It is expected that he may discharged from the hospital in a day or two.
The unfortunate incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday when an intruder barged into Khan’s residence on the 12th floor and entered the room of his son Jeh through an open window. The actor got into a scuffle with the man during which he got stabbed six times and was then rushed to hospital where a 2.5-inch part of knife was removed from his back.

Speaking to ANI in the Saif Ali Khan attack case, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that the media has been running stories without having complete information of the incident.
He added that the police is checking CCTV footage and it is also being looked into “whether the accused had gone with the intention of theft or something else”.
“While being in the government, our efforts are that whether it is Devendra Fadnavis or me, the law and order situation should remain good in every part of the state,” Pawar said.

The suspect is still at large and around 30 police teams are searching for the man.
Various images of the culprit have emerged in which he was seen wearing a yellow t-shirt.
Earlier, two images had emerged one of which was captured by the CCTV installed on the staircase of the sixth floor when he was fleeing from Saif Ali Khan’s house after stabbing him.
In the other image, he was seen at the Bandra Station wearing a blue shirt after attempting burglary at Khan’s Bandra West apartment.

Here’s a detailed timeline of what we know so far that happened at the house of actor Saif Ali Khan on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
At 11 pm: Saif Ali Khan’s house-help Eliyama Philip went to sleep after putting his youngest son Jehangir or Jeh to bed.
At nearly 2 am: Philip woke up hearing some noise and saw someone inside the room of Jeh. She ran inside the room where the attacker asked her not to make any noise.
At that time, Jeh’s nanny Junu also woke up and was asked to remain silent by the attacker. He was holding a thin blade-like object in his right hand and had a stick in his left hand.
