RRB has also opened the objection window for candidates who wish to challenge any answer in the provisional answer key. Candidates can raise objections until September 15, 2026, at 5 PM. To submit an objection, candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 50 per question, along with applicable bank service charges.

Although the applicant-to-vacancy ratio is lower than the 2019 recruitment drive, when around 1.15 crore candidates applied, the level of competition remains exceptionally high. Bihar emerged as one of the biggest contributors to the applicant pool, with over 10 lakh candidates registering for the examination.
The minimum qualifying marks is 40% for general category students, 40% for EWS, 30% for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and 30% for SC/ST category. However, securing the minimum qualifying marks does not guarantee selection. Final selection will depend on the cutoff and merit list.
