Indian Railways has given a good news for people going home in Diwali and other festivals. In the festive season, people traveling by train will get a discount of 20% on booking the return ticket together.
This will benefit those who use the train to go home and come back. Railways have taken this decision in view of the crowd and problems of the people for tickets during festivals.
Discount will be given only when both ticket details are equal
The benefit of this exemption will be available only when the passengers will book both tickets simultaneously and all the details given in the ticket will be the same. That is, things like source and destination (from where to go), passenger name, age, distance and class (sleeper, 3 AC, 2 AC) should be one in both tickets. This railway scheme will be applicable for travel between 13 October to 1 December 2025.
