Riya Ahir, who went viral by standing in front of the police van during the protest by NEET students, is now in the news after not getting entry in Bigg Boss-20. Riya had raised the question to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by saying ‘do your job’.
However, while talking to Dainik Bhaskar, he praised Modi’s work and said that he has a lot of potential. Riya herself was not a NEET candidate, yet she took part in the protest considering the future of children as her issue. He mentioned meeting many leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Supriya Sule and Raj Thackeray, but denied joining any political party.
At the same time, in Bigg Boss-20, the public did not choose her over Luv Gill and Riya was out of the show after about 2 minutes.

She was not a NEET candidate, yet she stood in front of the police van.
Riya Ahir got recognition during the demonstration in support of NEET students. Her video of standing in front of the police van for about 40 minutes went viral and she came into discussion on social media.
When asked that she herself is not a NEET candidate, then why did she take such a big risk for her children, Riya said that her upbringing has been such that even if an issue does not affect her personally, as a citizen she raises her voice if she considers it important.
He said that these children are the future of the country. She said that her life has been quite privileged till now, but that does not mean that she cannot understand the pain of others.
‘Even if there were no cameras, the police would have stood in front of the van’
Riya was asked that if cameras or media were not present that day, would she have stood in front of the police van for about 40 minutes? She replied that she had also gone to the protest on the 21st, when there were no cameras or reporters present. According to him, that day a police van was parked in Shivaji Park, in which children and protesters were present.
Riya said that she had already kept the numbers of the lawyers as she feared police action. According to him, on the 21st, only he and his phone were there.
What did Riya say on the connection with CJP movement?
After the protest, Riya started being associated with the CJP movement. However, he clearly said in the interview that he has no personal connection with CJP. According to Riya, she had independently participated in the protest on 21st and 22nd. He claimed that these were not demonstrations organized by any political party.
He said that he has no personal connection with any political organization and he did not have any such personal interaction with people associated with CJP.
Met with Rahul Gandhi, Supriya Sule and Raj Thackeray
During the protest, Riya met many political leaders. He mentioned many leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Supriya Sule, Raj Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray, Dimple Yadav and Dharmendra Yadav. When she was asked who among these leaders she found most genuine and whom she saw as the most politician, Riya said that in her experience no one seemed like a politician to her.
According to Riya, during these meetings no one talked to her in the name of his party. He mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s press conference and said that children and youth were discussed there, not the party.

Told PM Modi- ‘Do your job’
Riya’s most talked about statement was about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He had questioned Modi by saying ‘Just do your job’. When she was asked in the interview that if Modi sat in front of her and asked her where she had failed in her job, what would she answer, Riya praised Modi’s work instead of criticizing him.
He said that handling the hustle and bustle of the country is not an easy task. Riya described Modi as experienced and said that he has a lot of potential. He said that Modi is such a personality by whom people are influenced. Referring to the good work done in the country and the startups, she said that she will give credit where credit is due.
If there is brutality against women then it should also be discussed.
Immediately after praising Modi, Riya raised questions on the situation after the protest. He said that after the protest, women were abused and if there was brutality then that should also be discussed. On one hand, Riya talked about giving credit to Prime Minister Modi’s work, while on the other hand she also raised questions about the treatment of women after the protest.
‘Even if Rahul Gandhi was PM, she would have stood against him’
Riya was asked that if Rahul Gandhi had been the Prime Minister and a situation like paper leak or police action had arisen during his tenure, would she have raised her voice against him in the same way?
Riya replied- ‘Absolutely, 100 percent.’
She said that she does not want to make her identity by joining any political party. According to him, it is not necessary for a citizen to be a part of any party to raise voice for his country. Riya said that she does not want to bind herself in the identity of leftist or rightist and her issue is more related to the country and its citizens than any party.
Claim to raise voice against other governments also
When Rhea was asked that paper leak cases are not limited to BJP ruled states and such cases have also come to light in states like Karnataka, Telangana, did she raise her voice against the governments there too? He claimed that he has also raised his voice on matters related to other governments and other political parties.

Became the voice of Gen-Z, but was not chosen by the public in Bigg Boss
Riya, who made her mark on social media after her NEET performance, was also seen as the voice of Gen-Z. After this the discussion of his going to Bigg Boss-20 started. However, voting was conducted between Riya and Luv Gill for entry in the show. In the result, the public chose Luv Gill and Riya did not get entry into the Bigg Boss house. Riya appeared on the stage in front of Salman Khan for about 2 minutes and after that she was out of the show.
