PM Modi Somnath Visit Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Gujarat on Saturday and began his visit with a stop at the historic Somnath Temple, where he took part in the Somnath Swabhiman Rafta major cultural and spiritual programme.
The temple town wore a festive look as thousands of people lined the roads to welcome him, greeting his convoy with chants as he entered the shrine to offer prayers.
On Sunday, the second day of his Gujarat tour, the Prime Minister held Shaurya Yatra at around 9.45 am, followed by darshan and pooja at the Somnath Temple at about 10.15 am. He will then, attend a public event marking the Somnath Swabhiman Raft at around 11 am.
He will later travel to Rajkot, where he is set to inaugurate a trade show and exhibition at around 1.30 pm and formally open a conference at Marwadi University at about 2 pm, addressing the gathering.
In the evening, at around 5.15 pm, PM Modi will inaugurate the remaining stretch of Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro, marking a key infrastructure milestone for the state.
