Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Indian pilot Captain Smit Machhar on Friday. He praised the co-pilot for his bravery in facing the attack and saving the lives of 174 people on board the flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv.

Captain Mosquito also became emotional while talking to the Prime Minister. He told that he was reading Hanuman Chalisa in difficult times.

Captain Smit Mosquito had foiled the attack on the co-pilot on a flydubai flight going from Dubai to Tel Aviv. His action saved the lives of 174 people on board the plane.

Captain Mosquito is admitted in the hospital

Captain Mosquito informed the Prime Minister about the incident. He also told what gave him courage during that time.

After talking to the Prime Minister, Captain Mosquito’s condition is stable. He is undergoing treatment at a hospital in the UAE and is recovering rapidly.

India’s Ambassador to the UAE Deepak Mittal met the injured pilot and his family in the hospital. He said the mosquito was in good spirits and was “smiling and laughing.”

PM Modi has praised before also

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised the bravery and wisdom of Captain Smit Machar. He had said that despite being seriously injured, the pilot showed patience and courage. The whole country is feeling proud of his bravery. Modi said, “The Prime Minister of Israel also said that an Indian prevented a tragedy like 9/11. Every citizen of our country is very proud of Smit’s bravery.” The Prime Minister also spoke to the parents and wife of Captain Mosquito. He inquired about his health from father Bhupendrabhai, mother Geetaben and wife Sonalben. Also assured that all possible help will be provided to the pilot and his family from the Indian missions.

The ambassador spoke to Prasar Bharati after his visit to the hospital. He said that the Captain is receiving good treatment and is in constant touch with the Indian Embassy officials.

He said, “I met him and his family in the hospital. He is doing well and his condition is stable. I was very relieved to see him.”

“He was talking and interacting. He has some problems, but he is getting good treatment in the UAE,” Mittal said.

The ambassador described Captain Mosquito as a “brave son of India”. He said that his bravery during the mid-air emergency saved hundreds of lives and averted a major disaster.

PM Modi has praised before also

Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Modi had praised the courage and wisdom of Captain Mosquito during the mid-air cockpit attack. He had said that the whole country is feeling proud of the bravery of the pilot and a major tragedy was averted.

The Prime Minister mentioned the courage shown by Captain Mosquito despite being seriously injured.

PM Modi said, “India’s Captain Smit showed extraordinary patience, wisdom and courage in this incident. In fact, the Prime Minister of Israel said that an Indian prevented a tragedy like 9/11.”

“Every citizen of our country is very proud of Smit’s bravery,” he said.

The Prime Minister said that he spoke to the family of Captain Mosquito and inquired about his health.

He said, “I spoke to his father Bhupendrabhai, mother Geetaben and wife Sonalben. He is currently undergoing treatment and today the whole world is proud of him.”

New video from inside the plane surfaced

Meanwhile, Israel’s Channel 12 has released a new video from inside the Flydubai plane. In this, the chaos created after the co-pilot’s attempt to bring down the plane is visible.

The plane was going from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Captain Smit Machar and other passengers had foiled the co-pilot’s attempt.

In the video shared by Channel 12 News, the voices of passengers sitting near the cockpit can be heard. “He tried to bring down the plane,” one man says.

Others point to the cockpit and say “Take him out”. He also asks the people present in the cabin to sit on their seats.

In the video, a voice is used for the doctor. After this, Israeli dentist Dr. Shota Musayev reaches the front of the plane and starts treating the captain.

A passenger asks if there is another pilot on the plane. To this someone answers yes.

After this, in the video, Captain Smit is seen soaked in blood on the ground outside the Mosquito cockpit. He had managed to open the cockpit door.

This action helped save the lives of all 180 people on board the plane.

“The co-pilot hit me several times,” Mosquito says in the video. He tells that his injured hand is moving, but he is not able to close his fist.

The video starts again after the plane makes an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. In this, the medical team is seen treating Captain Mosquito.

Other passengers tell ground staff that the co-pilot “is a terrorist.” After this the police teams reach near the plane.

At the end of the video, Captain Mosquito tells the medical team about his injured hand.

This new video has surfaced amid the ongoing investigation against the co-pilot.

Israeli PM spoke about fundamentalist ideology

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier confirmed that the co-pilot who attacked Captain Smit Mosquito was influenced by radical Islamic ideology.

The Israeli Prime Minister told Fox News that the co-pilot is being interrogated. Israeli investigators have also joined this inquiry.

“The co-pilot who carried out the attack is currently being interrogated. So far we have learned that he was influenced by radical Islamic ideology,” Netanyahu said.
