Delhi Police is preparing to take action against the objectionable and indecent comments made on social media against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders during the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar. Police sources gave this information on Sunday.
According to sources, the police can issue notices to social media platforms. Through these notices, the police will demand removal of objectionable posts, videos and comments.
Police say that the content uploaded during and after the demonstration is being reviewed. After review, notices will be sent to the respective platforms to remove posts of obscene nature.

The protesters were sitting on a dharna at Jantar Mantar since June 20, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Work to identify content continues
Police sources said that the process of identifying such content on different social media platforms is already underway. Police are also investigating whether any content violates any law or is likely to disturb public order.
The social media monitoring team of Delhi Police is keeping an eye on this entire matter. The team is monitoring social media throughout the day to identify objectionable content related to the protest.

CJP’s protest lasted for 36 days, ended with Pradhan’s resignation
On May 3, students’ anger against NEET paper leak turned into a movement. Cockroach Janata Party was formed on social media on 16 May. Protestors sat on strike at Jantar Mantar from June 20.
This movement, which lasted for 36 days, ended on July 25 after the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Announcing his resignation in a statement, Pradhan said, “The events of the last 10 days have deeply saddened him and this issue is not a matter of personal prestige.”
Apart from this, Sonam Wangchuk, who was on fast with the students, also ended her 26-day hunger strike after the government’s assurance. He will also be discharged from Medanta Hospital on Monday.
