Dabang Delhi K.C. secured a remarkable victory against Puneri Paltan in a thrilling match that went to the Golden Raid at Vishwanadh Sports Club in Vizag on Thursday.
Ashu Malik delivered another Super 10 performance, while Fazel Atrachali achieved a High Five as the two teams reached a score of 28-28, necessitating a tie-breaker.
How Dabang Delhi Puneri Paltan In Pro Kabaddi League?
Puneri Paltan, who have been in excellent form this season, began the scoring with a successful raid and quickly extended their lead to 2-0 with a solid tackle. Dabang Delhi soon replied with a tackle from Fazel Atrachali. The game remained evenly balanced in the first 10 minutes, with both teams exchanging points. At the first Time Out, Dabang Delhi held a narrow lead of 8-6.
Puneri Paltan leveled the score at 8-8 with a Super Tackle. However, the momentum shifted in the final four minutes of the half when Ashu Malik executed a Super Raid, earning Delhi three crucial points and giving them a 12-10 lead.
Building on this advantage, Dabang Delhi’s captain added more points, extending the lead to 18-11. Puneri Paltan managed to regain some points before halftime, but Dabang Delhi went into the break ahead at 18-13.
Puneri Paltan started the second half strongly, reducing the gap to 17-19. A rare mistake from Fazel Atrachali allowed them to gain another point, bringing the score to 18-19. Shortly after, Puneri Paltan inflicted an ALL OUT to take the lead at 22-21 and extended their advantage to 24-21.
Just when it seemed Paltan had control, Dabang Delhi fought back. Neeraj Narwal’s successful raid and robust defense reduced the deficit to 24-26. The contest remained tight as it approached the closing stages.
In the final minute, Dabang Delhi closed the gap further, bringing the score to 27-28. They then prevented Sachin from crossing the Baulk Line, an error that tied the game at 28-28 and forced a Tie-Breaker.
In the Tie-Breaker, both teams exchanged points, with Paltan taking a 1-0 lead before Dabang Delhi equalised. The scores stayed neck and neck, ending 5-5 after the raids, leading to a Golden Raid.
Winning the toss, Dabang Delhi entrusted Ashu Malik with the Golden Raid. The captain remained calm, earning a Bonus Point and a Touch Point on Gaurav Khatri. This impressive raid, combined with his Super 10, ensured Dabang Delhi’s victory in a thrilling finish.
