Yesterday’s big news was related to the prices of petrol and diesel. The prices of petrol and diesel in the country may reduce by Rs 2-3 per litre. 1. Claim- Petrol-diesel can become cheaper by 2-3 rupees: Crude oil price decreased by 12% since March, oil companies are earning up to ₹ 15 on one liter.

The prices of petrol and diesel in the country may reduce by Rs 2-3 per litre. Since March, crude oil prices have decreased by 12% due to which the margins of oil marketing and refining companies have increased. In such a situation, there is scope for reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel.
According to the report of rating agency ICRA, the average price of crude oil imported into India has come down to $ 74 per barrel this month. In March their prices were $83-84. The last time the prices of petrol and diesel were reduced by Rs 2 per liter was in March itself.

2. Sensex fell 264 points after making an all-time high: It closed at the level of 85,571, Nifty also made a record high and slipped 37 points.

Sensex touched a record high of 85,978 and Nifty of 26,277 on Friday (September 27). This is the 8th consecutive day when the market reached all-time high. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 15 rose and 15 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 29 rose and 20 declined. Whereas, one stock closed without any change. The maximum decline was 1.55% in the media sector of NSE. There was a decline of 1.19% in realty sector and 1.00% decline in banking sector.

3. IDFC Limited and IDFC-FHCL will merge into IDFC First Bank: Shareholders will get 155 shares of ₹10 each in First Bank instead of 100 shares.

The Board of Directors of IDFC Limited has approved the merger of the company with IDFC First Bank and IDFC Financial Holding Company Limited (IDFC FHCL).
IDFC Limited gave this information on Friday (September 27). The company said that the merger has been approved by the Chennai Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Wednesday, September 25.

4. Fall in gold and silver prices today: Gold price fell by ₹ 110 to ₹ 75,640, silver became cheaper by ₹ 1,074 to ₹ 91,448.

A decline was seen in the price of gold on Friday (27 September). According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold fell by Rs 110 to Rs 75,640. Earlier on Thursday its price was Rs 75,750 per ten grams.
There was also a decline in the price of silver today. It became cheaper by Rs 1,074 to Rs 91,448 per kg. Earlier silver was at Rs 92,522. This year, silver has reached its all-time high of Rs 94,280 per kg on May 29.

5. NSE postponed the decision to implement T+0 settlement cycle: Same day settlement started for 25 shares on optional basis on March 28.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has postponed the decision to implement T+0 settlement cycle in the capital market segment till further notice. NSE today (September 27) said that now a separate circular will be issued for when this will be implemented.
Under this settlement cycle, the trade is settled on the same day the order is placed. That is, the day the shares are sold, the entire money is credited to the account on the same day.

6. Parliament’s committee will investigate SEBI’s accounts: Finance Ministry will submit details of SEBI’s accounts to PAC today.

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Parliament will conduct a detailed investigation of the accounts of the Securities Exchange Board of India i.e. SEBI. The committee will review the accounts of SEBI for the financial year 2022-23 and financial year 2023-24.
This is the first time that PAC has felt the need to investigate the financial performance of SEBI. Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal heads the Public Accounts Committee. This committee includes leaders of both NDA and opposition parties.

Today is the second day of bidding for the Initial Public Offer (IPO) of Diffusion Engineers Limited. Diffusion Engineers’ IPO was subscribed a total of 7.34 times on the first day.
