Six people died, while dozens were injured in a stampede that broke out at Haridwar’s Mansa Devi Temple over a “rumour” on Sunday.

A horrifying video recorded outside the Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar showed the chaos and desperation after the stampede that claimed the lives of six people and left dozens injured.
The clip shared on X by Hindustanwhich was recorded outside the temple, shows the influx of devotees moving forward in a chaotic atmosphere, as a man shouts “Peeche jaao” (go back) in a bid to soothe the panic situation.

The people were seen pushing each other and attempting to escape the crowd. Several people also tried to scale a structure to take themselves to safety.
