Paris Olympics 2024, Day 1 LIVE: Hello and welcome to our coverage of Day 1 of the Olympics 2024 where the Indian contingent will take part in various events in Paris, France.
A lot of qualifying events are slated to take place today with the majority being from the shooting discipline. While the expectations will put massive pressure on the Indian contingent, it will be up to the many athletes present in the Parisian city to ensure that they take their best foot forward.
The spotlight will be on the medal-contenders the Indian Hockey team along with the Shooting and Badminton teams that are set to take part in their respective games today. The sporting discipline already has a history of winning medals in their respective events and they are going to be expected to put in their best performances in their first appearance in Paris.
On Day 1 we have Indian athletes taking part in Rowing, Shooting, Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis, Boxing and Hockey events respectively.
