‘Pakistan Would’ve Split Into 4 Parts’: Rajnath Singh Highlights Navy’s Strength

Rajnath Singh stated that India could have divided Pakistan into four parts during Operation Sindoor, calling it just a “warm-up”.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that India possessed the capability to have fragmented Pakistan into four separate entities during Operation Sindoor, asserting that the actual outcome was merely a “warm-up” of India’s military prowess.

Rajnath Singh- reflecting on the 1971 conflict which led to the creation of Bangladesh- said, “When our Indian Navy was mobilized in 1971, Pakistan was divided into two. If the Navy had shown its full strength in Operation Sindoor, Pakistan would not have been split into two but into four parts by now.”

Hinting at future military actions if deemed necessary, the Defence Minister warned Pakistan and said, “What has happened so far was just a warm-up. If there is a need again from Pakistan, the Navy will also be mobilized. Only God knows what will happen to Pakistan then.”

He said, “The way you protect our maritime borders, the intensity with which you track every movement in the Indian Ocean, if that capability of yours was a part of this mission, then there is no need to tell what would have happened to Pakistan. In a way, Pakistan is very lucky that our Navy did not display its valour during Operation Sindoor.”

Rajnath Singh also highlighted the Indian Navy’s swift and decisive response during Operation Sindoor. He said that within 96 hours of the Pahalgam terror attack “our western fleet ships deployed at sea carried out multiple successful firings of surface to surface, and surface to air missiles and torpedoes on the western and eastern coast.” This rapid demonstration underscored “the combat readiness of our platforms, systems and crews”, he said.

Further emphasising that the “long-range precision strikes” were a clear signal of India’s resolve and preparedness against Pakistan, Rajnath Singh asserted that Islamabad was consequently “forced into a defensive posture.”

He said, “Your strong preparation has already broken the morale of the enemy. Your preparation alone was enough for Pakistan. You did not even need to take action; the enemy was stunned by your preparation itself.” He concluded by noting that Pakistan not only recognized “the tremendous power of the Indian Navy, its military acumen and destructive capabilities, but they were also afraid of it.”
