The market share of Ola Electric has declined by more than 50% in the year 2025. Leaving behind Ola, which was the market leader till now, TVS Motor has taken the number-1 position.
At the same time, Bajaj Auto, Ather Energy and Hero MotoCorp have strengthened their hold in the market. Old automakers have left behind new companies like Ola on the basis of their strong service network and brand trust.
Ola’s share fell from 36% to 16%
According to data from the government vehicle portal, Ola Electric’s market share was 36.7% in 2024, which dropped to just 16.1% in 2025. In the year 2025, the company sold a total of 1,96,767 vehicles.
This year has been very challenging for Ola. The company faced service delays, vehicle breakdowns and frequent customer complaints.

TVS and Bajaj sales increased
Amidst this turmoil, TVS Motor emerged as the market leader with 24.2% share. The company sold 2,95,315 units in the year.
Bajaj Auto stood at second position with 21.9% market share. Hero MotoCorp has also taken a big leap. Its share was 3.9% in 2024, which will increase to 8.8% in 2025.
The reason for this was the increasing demand for Vida scooters. At the same time, Ather’s market share increased from 11.3% last year to 16.2%.
TVS sales highest in December
TVS alone accounted for one-third (about 33%) of the total electric two-wheelers sold in the month of December. At the same time, Bajaj and Ather together captured 46% of the market. However, Ola’s share saw a slight improvement (7.4% to 8.4%) in December compared to November.
