Norway’s soccer team posed as Vikings before departing for the 2026 World Cup, marking the country’s first appearance in the men’s tournament since 1998.
Rather than marking its departure with the customary team photo on airplane steps, Norway’s squad took part in a photoshoot by British photographer David Yarrow, titled “The Vikings Are Coming.”
The 48-team, 104-match World Cup will kick off next week across 16 cities in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
