The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has begun accepting applications for the post of Apprentice. Candidates can apply for the vacancies via the official website of the NFR atnfr.indianrailways.gov.in. The online registration process started on November 4 and will conclude on December 3 this year. Through this recruitment drive, the NFR will fill a total of 5,647 posts in the organisation.
“Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their academic results and their document verification (DV) – which will be held in the divisions/units, as per the choice mentioned in their applications. Candidates must note that no centralized merit list will be formed,” reads the official notice.

Northeast Frontier Railway Recruitment 2024: Steps To Apply
Step 1:Go to the official website of NFR atnfr.indianrailways.gov.in
Step 2: On the homepage, look for the general info tab and click on ‘Railway Recruitment Cell GHY’
Step 3: Then click on the application link and fill out the form as directed.
Step 4:Upload all the necessary documents (if required) and pay the fee as well.
Step 5:Cross-check the details and submit the form.
To apply, candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 100. Candidates who are SC, ST, PwBD, EBC, or women do not need to pay the application fee.
Northeast Frontier Railway Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 24 on the closing date specified in this announcement.
The selection process will be based on merit positions at the unit, trade, and community levels. Every unit’s merit list will be determined by adding the percentage of matriculation marks (with a minimum of 50 per cent overall) with the ITI grades in the trade where the apprenticeship is to be completed. The final panel will be chosen based on the average of the ITI and matriculation scores.
