6. It is not necessary to keep print of general ticket in the train: Railways said – showing digital ticket on mobile is enough, traditional dishes will be available in Vande Bharat.
It is not necessary to have a general print out for traveling by train. Indian Railways has cleared the confusion regarding general i.e. unreserved tickets. Railways said that it is not necessary to take a printout of the ticket booked through the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app.
During the journey, passengers can show the ticket to the ticket checking staff (TTE) by using the ‘Show Ticket’ option in the app on their mobile and it is completely valid.
This clarification comes after a viral video, in which a TTE was seen asking a passenger for a printed copy of a ticket booked through the UTS app. Due to this video, confusion had spread among many passengers whether now they will have to carry a printout of mobile ticket also.
