Nepal flood: Infosys Public Services CEO Gopisetti missing: The company said – he had gone on a personal trip, is providing all possible help to his family.

The search for missing people continues after the massive flood on the Nepal-Tibet border. Infosys Public Services CEO Lux Gopisetti is also missing in this disaster and no one is able to contact him.

Infosys has said that it is trying to contact him in collaboration with the authorities and is providing all possible help to his family.

Lux Gopisetti went to Nepal on a personal trip

According to the official statement of Infosys, Lux Gopisetti had gone to Nepal on a personal visit and it was not an official work trip. Infosys said that our first priority is to ensure their safety and well-being.

The company is busy gathering information and establishing contact with the concerned agencies. At present there is no official confirmation on Gopisetti’s location or what happened to him. Authorities have made it clear that lack of contact does not mean that anyone has lost their life.

300 Indians missing in Nepal, 400 stranded on China border

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), about 300 Indian citizens are missing or uncontacted in this disaster that occurred on the Nepal-Tibet border. Around 400 other Indians are stranded near the China border. Thousands of people are missing across the region of Nepal and Tibet.

After the sudden flood caused by the sliding of snow and rocks in the Himalayan region, water, mud and debris came downstream in strong currents. Due to this, roads, bridges and settlements were washed away, due to which communication and traffic came to a complete standstill.

Rescue operation: Help of helicopters, drones and boats

The teams engaged in relief and rescue operations are taking the help of helicopters, boats, drones, hospitals, shelters and local teams. The pace of the operation has slowed down a bit due to broken roads and bad roads.

However, people from many remote areas are being evacuated to safe places. According to AP report, as of Friday, more than 3,700 people had been rescued in Nepal.

21 Indians reached Delhi via Kathmandu

Amidst the search for missing people, the Ministry of External Affairs said that 153 Indians stranded on the China border have safely entered the Nepal border.

Apart from this, 21 Indian citizens evacuated from flood affected areas have safely reached New Delhi via Kathmandu. Rescue operations are continuing to search for Lux Gopisetti and other missing people.
