NTA stated that a viral video on Telegram claiming re-NEET paper has been leaked is fabricated and that the allegations made in it are completely false.

Following the conclusion of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG re-exam, 2026, a video has been circulating on social media claiming that the question paper was leaked on Telegram before the test began. National Testing Agency (NTA) has dismissed the claims and called the video fake.
According to the agency, the re-NEET was conducted smoothly and successfully under stringent security arrangements and continuous surveillance. NTA stated that the video is fabricated and that the allegations made in it are completely false. The agency warned that spreading such misinformation will have serious consequences.
NTA has urged students, parents, and the public to rely only on official updates issued through the NEET website and verified communication channels, and to refrain from sharing unverified information. The agency also emphasised that more than 20 lakh aspirants deserve a fair, transparent, and stress-free examination process.

PIB Fact Check has also debunked claims being circulated online that the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination question paper was leaked on Telegram before the test. Labeling the claim as fake, PIB Fact Check cited NTA’s clarification that reports of any paper leak are baseless and incorrect. Authorities have advised the public to remain vigilant and help curb the spread of misinformation.
The NEET-UG re-examination took place on Sunday from 2 pm to 5:15 pm in pen-and-paper mode. The re-exam follows the cancellation of the May 3 test over alleged paper leaks.
According to student feedback, the paper was tougher and lengthier than last year, with Physics emerging as the most difficult and time-consuming section. Biology was largely seen as easier, while Chemistry remained balanced. Students across cities reported mixed experiences but largely agreed that the challenging Physics section defined this year’s paper, raising expectations of a slightly lower cutoff.
