NEET PG Counselling 2025: MCC has extended the resignation period for round 2. Those intending to vacate their Round-1 or Round-2 seat can do so by 6 PM on December 26, 2025.

The Medical Counselling Committee or MCC stated that it has received numerous requests from PG candidates wishing to resign their Round-1 or Round-2 seats due to the declaration of state counselling results. Consequently, the competent authority has decided to extend the resignation period for these candidates. Those intending to vacate their Round-1 or Round-2 seat can do so by 6 PM on December 26, 2025.
“MCC is in receipt of many requests from PG candidates who want to resign their Round 1 or Round 2 seats since the state counselling results are being declared. In this regard, the
competent authority has decided to extend the time of Resignation for such candidates. The
candidates who desire to leave their Round-1 or Round-2 seat can do so from 02:00 PM
of 22.12.2025 upto 06:00 P.M of 26.12.2025,” reads the official notice.
According to MCC, freshly allotted candidates of Round-2 who joined their seat but now want to resign can vacate their seat with forfeiture of their security deposit within the stipulated resignation period. Candidates who were upgraded in Round-2, joined the upgraded seat but now wish to resign can vacate their seat with forfeiture of their security deposit within the stipulated resignation period.
Candidates must report physically to the allotted college to resign their seat. They should ensure that their Resignation Letter is generated through the MCC-provided portal by the allotted college, failing which the resignation will be deemed ‘Null & Void’, the notice added.

Step 1. Visit the official website, mcc.nic.in.
Step 2. Click on the ‘NEET PG Counselling Round 2 Allotment Result’ link.
Step 3. View the allocation PDF, which shows roll-number-wise outcomes.
Step 4. Log in with the candidate’s credentials to download the allocation order.
Step 5. Save the allotment letter for future admission processes.
The MCC conducts four rounds of All India Quota counselling for NEET PG candidates—Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up round, and Stray vacancy round.
