NEET PG Admit Card 2026: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the admit cards for the NEET PG 2026 exam. Candidates who have applied for the exam can now download their hall tickets by visiting the official website. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card and a valid photo ID to appear for the exam.
NEET PG 2026 will be held on August 30, 2026 (Sunday). The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in a single shift across the country. The exam will begin at 9 AM and will continue until 12:30 PM. Previously, exam centre information was made available to candidates on August 11.
How To Download Admit Card NEET PG
Candidates can download their admit card with the help of some simple steps.
1. First of all go to the official website of NBEMS natboard.edu.in.
2. After this, click on the NEET PG 2026 Admit Card link appearing on the home page.
3. Now log in by entering your application number and password.
4. You will see the admit card on the screen.
5. Download it and take a printout and save it for the exam.
Candidates will need to carry certain essential documents to enter the examination centre. The most important ones include a printed copy of their admit card and a government-issued photo ID. Without these documents, entry to the examination centre will be denied.
Increase In PG medical seats
According to Union Health Minister JP Nadda, 86,360 PG medical seats are available across the country for the 2026-27 academic year. These include seats approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and NBEMS. Karnataka has the highest number of PG seats, followed by Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu in second and third places.

2. Maharashtra – 9,216
3. Tamil Nadu – 8,023
4. Uttar Pradesh – 7,437
5. Telangana – 5,248
6. Andhra Pradesh – 4,782
5,000 new seats to be added in the next few years
The central government has approved a new scheme to expand medical education. Under this scheme, 5,000 new PG medical seats will be added to government medical colleges, PG institutions, and government hospitals between 2025-26 and 2028-29. The expenditure limit for each new PG seat has been increased to Rs 1.5 crore to enable better facilities to be developed in medical institutions.
NEET PG provides admission to postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, and PG Diploma. The exam is also used to determine admissions to medical institutions under the All India Quota, State Quota, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, ESIC, and Armed Forces Medical Services.
