More than 40 petitions are to be heard in the Supreme Court today on the NEET controversy. This is the fourth hearing on NEET before CJI Chandrachud’s bench. A decision on re-examination may come today.
The last hearing was held on July 18. During this, the Supreme Court had ordered the National Testing Agency (NTA) to release the city and center wise result of NEET UG exam by July 20.
The central government has said that the candidates who scored more than 700 are distributed across the country. This shows that it is not just the students from the coaching hubs of the country who are in the merit list of the country.

NTA had accepted that there was some disturbance in Godhra and Patna, there is no topper here
The NEET exam was held on 5 May at 4,750 centers. 24 lakh candidates appeared in it. NTA has released the city-center wise result. In an affidavit given to the Supreme Court, NTA had admitted that there was rigging at the exam centers of Godhra and Patna. No candidate from Godhra and Hazaribagh centers is a topper.

There is no topper even from Jhajjar exam center in Haryana
Questions were raised on the result after 6 toppers emerged from Hardayal Public School Centre, Jhajjar, Haryana. According to reports, all of them had scored 720 out of 720 marks. Now in the centre wise result, none of the 494 candidates who appeared for the exam at this centre has scored 720. See the complete result analysis here
